Operation HADIN KAI has taken a significant step in strengthening its ties with traditional institutions.
This move was unveiled during a visit of the Theatre Commander (TC) Joint Task Force (JTF) North East (NE) Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Major General Gold Chibuisi, to the esteemed Royal Highness, Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi, the Shehu Of Borno, at his palace in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.
During this important visit, General Chibuisi emphasised the significance of seeking the Royal blessings and the support of the traditional institution in winning the hearts and minds of the people of Borno state and the surrounding regions amidst the ongoing operations in the North East.
Chibuisi assumed command responsibility of OPHK on 13th July 2023 and recognised the importance of engaging with respected leaders to achieve their objectives.
With determination and dedication, Chibuisi assured the Shehu of OPHK’s commitment “to putting an end to the menace of the remaining marauding elements of the terrorists within the state, thereby aiming to restore peace and stability.”
In response, the Shehu praised the leadership of OPHK for their unwavering resilience and determination in their Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations in the NE.
The royal father slso expressed full support and cooperation on behalf of the Borno State traditional council.
He emphasised that “the doors of the palace will always remain open to the theatre commander,” extending a welcoming atmosphere for any assistance, cooperation, and guidance required in their noble mission.
This gesture signifies the significance of collaboration between security forces and traditional institutions in tackling the challenges faced in the region, fostering a sense of unity and common purpose.
