Lagos State Football Association, (LSFA) has appointed the Chairman of Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Ajala, as the chairman of the state Principals’ Cup committee.
The council boss disclosed this via his Facebook page on Thursday July 20, 2023.
“Earlier today I had the privilege of joining stakeholders in the football family at the inauguration of LSFA Re-activation Of Iconic Football Championships,” the chairman said.
He added, “At the end of the deliberation, I was appointed Chairman of the Principals’ Cup Committee.”
He continued, “I want to use this medium to thank the LSFA board ably chaired by an elder statesman and a great believer in the development of football in Lagos State and Nigeria by extension, Alh. Fuad Alade Oki, for the opportunity to serve on this sensitive committee.
“As a sportsman, I know the enormity of this assignment as it deals with the cradle of talent development.
“The best players to feature in the national team were discovered when school sports were active.
“We hope to restore the glory day of the Principals’ Cup and ensure that the country has a bevy of talents nurtured via the school sports platform.”
