Bauchi State’s Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called upon the Muslim Ummah to utilize the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir Sallah to pray for peace and progress in both the state and Nigeria as a whole.
In a message of goodwill marking the 2023 Eid-el-Kabir Sallah, Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus, the Chairman of CAN, congratulated the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, and other Muslims in the state.
He stressed that the enjoyment of peace, growth, and development hinges on the security of lives and properties.
“On behalf of the entire Christian community in the state, I extend congratulations to Governor Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and the millions of Muslim Ummah as you celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir, a period of offering sacrifices to Allah,” stated Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus.
He urged the Muslim Ummah to persistently engage in prayer, particularly during this time of sacrifice, for an end to insecurity and for the state’s peace.
The CAN chairman expressed optimism that the sacrifices made during this season would restore the much-needed peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among citizens.
Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus called upon the people of the state to continue praying for a bountiful harvest at the conclusion of the ongoing farming season, asserting that with divine intervention, the current challenges would soon be overcome.
The CAN chairman commended Governor Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for his inclusive governance, which embraces all individuals in the state, regardless of their religion or political differences.
He also reminded the Governor about the importance of establishing a new Christian cemetery and completing the CAN multipurpose Secretariat.
The Christian Association of Nigeria in Bauchi State strives to enhance unity, peace, and development by fostering harmonious relationships among various religious groups within the state.
