In a viral video that surfaced on Thursday, Davido claimed that he and Wizkid were the first young Nigerian artists to achieve stardom.
He referred to Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake as “new cats,” implying that they were still emerging artists.
Responding to Davido’s statement, Yung6ix said, “David, how many times have I mentioned your name? You know I have nothing but love for you, my boy. However, let’s clear things up here. It was Wizkid, Olamide, and then 6ix (Yung6ix) before you came into the picture.”
