The Chairman, Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon Rasaq Ajala, (HRA) has congratulated Muslims all over the world on the occasion of Eid-ul-fitr.
His felicitation message sent to the Muslim Ummah was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Orientation, Babatunde Abubakar Ilyas.
Hon Ajala maintained that “Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival of charity, self-introspection which has a deep spiritual significance for all the Muslims.
“This is the day when we should pay gratitude to the divine light for all the wonderful things around us
“It is a day to cheer and to laugh with all our hearts
“It is a time to amend, forgive and reflect
“It is a day to be grateful to Allah for all of the blessings on us, sharing what we have with others,” Ajala said.
“As we mark the end of Ramadan yesterday as the moon was sighted, I enjoin all Muslims and non-Muslims to thank God for everything He has done in our lives in our country
“The past months have been a trying one for us as a nation as we went through another election to change the baton of leadership democratically once again for the third consecutive time
“We must be grateful to Allah that despite all the challenges that came with the election, we were able to scale through successfully,” HRA said.
He appreciated Allah for the victory attained for the party in most of the elections conducted particularly, the victory at the center won by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“The emergence of our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as president-elect was divined and we have reason to thank almighty Allah for this blessing because it is He who giveth and taketh power
“I want to use this opportunity to pray to Allah to protect our President-elect, guide and provide him with wisdom to steer the affairs of our nation,” he prayed.
He seized the occasion to thank the people of the LCDA for their support during the election by voting overwhelmingly for all the candidates of the All Progressive Congress.
“I equally wish to thank the people of my LCDA for standing by us during the election by voting overwhelmingly for all the candidates of our party
“On behalf of my family, the executive, legislative, management, staff, and the good people of Odiolowo-Ojuwoye LCDA I am wishing you a happy Eid-ul-Fitr celebration,” he concluded.
