First Bank Nigeria has withheld Lagos trader’s money, subjecting the trader to untold hardship.
The trader, simply identified as Alhaja Bilikis narrated her ugly experience to The Naija News. She stated that the financial institution has failed to reverse a failed transaction she initiated last week.
According to the trader, a sum of N8, 200 was transferred from her First Bank savings account — 3046398968 — to an Opay, Digital account. She lamented that the beneficiary had yet to receive the fund since last week.
“On Thursday March 9, 2023, I transferred the sum of N8,200 to an Opay account: 8080496976 Rosenje Hazzanat
Opay. It is frustrating that till this moment, the beneficiary has yet to receive the money,” the trader lamented.
She added, “The failed transaction has subjected me to embarrassment. I have been tagged a liar. Network inconsistency is a normal digital challenge, but customers should not be subjected to untold hardship.
“I am already losing hope in First Bank.”
The trader, therefore, appeal to the bank authorities to reverse her money before its purpose elapses.
