A Lecturer and the deputy dean in the Faculty of Food and Consumer Sciences, Dr. Islamiyat Folashade Bolarinwa, has won International KTN grant.
This was disclosed in a report shared via the official Facebook page of the institution on Thursday February 9, 2023.
According to the report, the grants were won in collaboration with some academics in the University of Leeds.
They got two grants from Innovative UK, both totalling £182,442.
“The purpose of the first grant of £29,726 whose tenure runs between October 1,2022 and March 31, 2023, is to increase the availability of high protein foods and reduce Protein-energy malnutrition,” the statement read.
It added, “The second grant of £152,715, running for April 2023 to July 2024, is to serve the purpose of reducing post-harvest losses of food crops and increase food security.”
They are both under the Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
