The newly-elected 5th Iyalode of Ilisan Remo in Ogun State, Chief Alhaja Kudirat Kassim, has donated thousands of exercise books to students in public schools.
This was disclosed by her sister, Kemi Koleowo on Sunday January 29, 2023.
According to her, the donation was done through Chief Alhaji Yusuf Amoda Jinadu Foundation, “which is in memory of our dear father”.
She confirmed that all public secondary and primary school students in Ilisan Remo benefited from this exercise.
“Iyalode is passionate about improving the education sector. So this is not a one-off activity but intends to offer scholarships to indigent students who are brilliant but lack financial support,” Koleowo said.
She added, “Iyalode and her entourage with Chief Wemmy Osude were well received by staff and students of the schools visited.
“Two secondary schools and four primary schools were visited during the exercise.”
Ilisan Development Association was represented by Mr Yinka Ogunnowo and Olayemi Simisaye.
