Erelu Bisi Fayemi was on the panelist at Ake Arts & Book Festival.
The event was held in Lagos State.
This was disclosed via her Facebook page
“It was a great session at the Ake Arts & Book Festival in Lagos,” she said.
“I got to engage with a stimulating panel on African Feminist Identities Across Generations,” she added.
Erelu Bisi Fayemi, an international figure, gender and human right activist, is the wife of Dr Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti State governor. I wrote to celebrate her when she turned 50, eight years ago; and between then and now, she has done a lot to more improve the lives of women and children in Ekiti State. Protecting and fighting for women and children, especially the girlchild, is what she has been doing all her life.
Now in its tenth year, Ake Arts & Book Festival brought over a 1000 writers, poets, musicians, actors, filmmakers, artists and thinkers together to celebrate creativity.
This year, the festival was held in Lagos with a fantastic programme of events that includes panel discussions, book chats, poetry and music.
