The National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch has been commended by the LCDA parents forum for hosting a tech quiz.
The competition, held on April 25, 2024, provided a significant platform for students to exhibit their academic prowess and intellectual capabilities in information and communications technology.
Several senior secondary schools in the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA of Lagos State showcased outstanding performance in the quiz competition held on April 25th, 2024.
Led by Mrs. Iyiola, the Chairperson of the Parent Forum, representatives from various schools including Ilupeju Senior Grammar School, Ilupeju Senior Secondary School, Estate Senior School Oshodi, Ransome Kuti Senior School Jibowu, Ojuwoye Comprehensive High School Damigoro, and Learning Gate High School Ilupeju (a private school) participated enthusiastically in the quiz competition.
The NYCN Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch Coordinator, Engr Ibrahim Adigun, described the event as a great opportunity. He emphasised that the initiative was aimed at promoting educational excellence and fostering healthy competition among students.
Adigun expressed appreciation to the LCDA Chairman, Hon Rasaq Ajala (HRA), for his continued support towards the success of the programmes initiated by the council.
“We shall continue to key into the initiatives of Hon Rasaq Ajala-led administration,” Adigun said.
He, therefore, reaffirmed the commitment of the Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA to advancing educational standards and fostering a culture of academic achievement and excellence.
The parents forum extended sincere appreciation to the NYCN (Odi-Olowo Ojuwoye Local Branch) for providing this enriching experience.
In their letter of appreciation, the parents forum conveyed blessings and goodwill, praying for continued success and progress for the organisation.
They expressed optimism that such collaborative efforts would continue to uplift and empower the youth spiritually, morally, and physically.
The letter signed by Adebola Mike Adebayo, the parent forum secretary, highlighted the LCDA’s vision of progress and unwavering dedication to the development of the youth.
The success of the quiz competition underscores the importance of educational initiatives in empowering the youth and enhancing community engagement.
